A mathematical enthusiast called Henry Dudeney created and solved puzzles to create a mathematical community in developing logic and reasoning through mathematics, that was 100 years ago. Three mechanical floor and wall exhibits, that were all mathematically challenging, were on display.  Dudeney created the ability to transform an equilateral triangle into a square by ‘hinging’ four geometrical shapes together, 2 triangles and 2 quadrilaterals.  The mechanical sculpture exhibit, the tricky square angle made by Aiko Groot demonstrated this and every minute you could watch the figures move and before your eyes a square became a triangle, then a square   . . .
